Working at the centre of our airport operations, you will lead ramp and baggage activities, working outdoors in all conditions to ensure safety, efficiency, and on-time performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Ramp Operations team, including workforce planning, staff supervision and performance management.Foster collaborative, safety-focused culture that promotes engagement, efficiency, and operational excellence.Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant working environment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, the company Safety Management System (SMS), and applicable Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies.Conduct internal audits, safety observations, and routine ramp inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented as required.Manage ramp staff rostering, monitor resourcing requirements, and oversee payroll processing for ramp employees.Plan and manage GSE resource requirements and ensure the serviceability and presentation of all ramp equipment and facilities.Oversee baggage operations, including supporting the Customer Service team in mishandled, lost, or damaged baggage.Coordinate aircraft cabin presentation and cleaning activities to meet operational and service standards.Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as on-time performance, turnaround times, mishandled baggage rates, and safety metrics.Liaise with airport authorities, external stakeholders, and internal company departments on operational matters, including attending meetings as required.Perform other duties as directed by the National Airports Manager or delegate.Key selection criteria:Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage a diverse team.Highly task-driven, with a proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritise workloads, and multitask in a fast-paced, operational environment.Extensive airline operations experience preferred, with demonstrated exposure to ramp and/or baggage operations, and experience in leading or managing teams.Professional, well-presented, and enthusiastic about supporting regional aviation.Proven ability to work independently and to be self-motivated.Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.Experience with HumanForce Workforce Management systems is beneficial but not essential.Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.Ability to meet the requirements to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).Hold a current and valid Australian driver’s licence.How to apply:Please submit your application, including your resume and a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria, by COB Monday, 12 January 2026. The Role
